InFoustation 2010

Aunt Tiff, Uncle Lou, Isaac, Isabella and Ivy came to Boston for their family vacation this year. Since Ms. Gladys was on vacation, they took me on all of their adventures! Sometimes Mama and Daddy came, too.

We went candlepin bowling...

... and to the Boston Children's Museum...

...and to the observatory in Portland, Maine...
(that trip tired me out!)

...and to the beach...

...and we walked on the Freedom Trail, stopping for lunch in Faneuil Hall...

...and Uncle Lou ate some lobstah...

...and we even went to the Boston Commons and Public Gardens!

We also had a lot of fun at home, too, see?

I really am looking forward to the next time I get to see my cousins, Aunt Tiff and Uncle Lou. We had a really great time!

Make Way For Ducklings, 2010

Every year, my parents take me to see the ducklings in the Boston Commons.

Here is a photo of me last year:

And here we are this year! See how much I've grown?

First Birthday Trip to the Zoo!

To celebrate my first birthday, Mama took me to the Stoneham Zoo to see the animals and have a picnic.

Afterwards, we came home and played and opened a few presents. I had a fun day!

One year ago today...

... my baby boy, Joseph Aaron Walsh was born at 6:01pm. After 40 hours of labor, he came into our lives, perfect as could be, weighing 8lbs and measuring 19 inches long. He had dark reddish brown hair, skinny little fingers, and the yummiest chubby little cheeks.

One year later, my not-so-baby-anymore Joey is crawling like a madman, trying desperately to walk, and interested in learning about everything the world has to offer. He weighs about 3 times as much as he did when he was born and is growing before my very eyes. He says Mama, Dada, and Oof to us daily, waves bye-bye, and knows where his nose is. He can open and shut all of my cabinets, and redecorate my kitchen in about 2 seconds flat. He has the best giggle, the biggest smile, and shares both with me often. His bright blue eyes are the same as the day he was born, but he now has a head full of blond hair. The yummiest chubby little cheeks are still firmly in place, and I hope he never outgrows them. The best part of my day is snuggling him goodnight, and telling him his mama and daddy love him... always and forever.

Joey, thank you for being my son and showing me the world through your eyes. Here's to the next 100 years of birthdays, baby boy!

Hugs and kisses,
Mama
