Edaville 2012

Joey and Mommy took a special big-kid trip to Edaville USA, down by the Cape. It had a ton of train type stuff, including a full size train ride through the property, which was all decorated with twinkly lights. Joey was so excited to go, and to show the conductor his Lightning McQueen light-up shoes (which he did). He showed no fear on every ride, and wanted to try everything. That's my boy!
It was cold, we stayed up late, and so worth it to hear him as we boarded the astronaut ride: 'I love you, Mommy. You're my best friend. Now, let's blast off in this rocket, ok?'

Waiting to ride the Ferris wheel, first thing.

First ferris wheel ride

On the train

Flying the red baron - he pulled the lever and flew up high the whole ride

teacups

Carousel - 'Mommy, there's a crank up there that is turning the horses!'

Christmas Morning...

Christmas morning with a 3yo and a 1.5yo is one of the most magical experiences. One kid gets it, completely, and the other kid gets that his brother is super excited so he should be, too. If there was ever a time in my adult life that I believed in the magic of Christmas, it was when we saw the snow falling outside the window when Joey woke up -- the snow he had specifically requested.

On his way to the tree, Joey exclaimed 'Holy moly! Look at all these presents!' We got the reaction on video,,, priceless. While he surveyed the scene, Alex just started ripping into his gifts.

This is the 'I don't want to share' face. I better get used to seeing it.
